Well confession time, I cheated this Easter.
In 2010 I preached an Easter sermon while I was the associate pastor at West End Baptist. I got a lot of positive feedback for it so I filed it away for future use. And use it I have.
In 2011 I took that sermon and turned it into a blog post on my old website which I ported over to this site. You can find it here if you are so inclined.
That brings us to today, where I reached into my blog archive and turned my blog post back into a sermon. I preached that sermon today.
Like I said I cheated a little bit. So if you would like to listen to a 100% (or is it 300%) recycled sermon you can listen to it here.
I should say normally I would take my Sunday sermon and turn it into shorter one point blog for easier consumption. I just didn’t think I should hack this one up for a forth time.
I hope you and yours had a very blessed Easter! I know we did.
Amen.
Thanks Bonnie, it is great to see you here too!
It was very good regardless of how many times you reworked it.
Thanks for saying so Mom, starting this Sunday I will have to stop recycling and get back to making new sermons.
